Miss Emily Ingram, Journalist

On the eve of the Rice game, we are pleased to present the second installment of the WacoTrib's soon-to-be Pulitzer-nominated series, The Em Zone, exploring the "underbelly of the bear." This basically means a light-hearted look at Baylor sports people and traditions. This week, Em visits the Bear Pit for a Q&A with the bear trainer about Joy & Lady (the two live Texas Black Bears on campus), which includes a fart joke and some light flirting. Did anyone else notice that Emily's left hand was free of jewelry? Game on, Gentlemen Bears. That is a white woman you can trust to raise your children right.

  • Sorry gentlemen, a quick facebook search says that this well-spoken, not at all awkward alum is in a relationship. But this Bear Trainer's charms seemed to loosen her up.

    Sic 'em I say.

  • My girl Em rocks the Baptist house, y'all! East Waco shootings, domesticated bears, nothing that goes on in this weird little burg scares her. Go Em!

  • Yeah, and I know the guy she's dating. He's an Iraq vet, so it'd be wise to proceed with caution.

  • BDP - you are officially the BearMeat Facebook Liaison.

Wendy - welcome to BearMeat! Thanks for stopping by. This is the epicenter of the "underbelly of Baylor."

Wap - that may stop a few meek Baylor men, but my guess is that it will not deter the hordes of Aggies who spend time poontanging BU women and scouting out potential brides (thanks to our gender imbalance).

  • I also know Miss Ingram and the gentleman she is dating. He's not going anywhere. No ring on the left hand? Not for long!

  • Aaaaand they're engaged! She's taken, gentlemen. Guess BearMeat helped speed the process up!

  • em,

Congratulations! While we hate to see you taken off the market, we trust your judgment that you have chosen wisely. If BearMeat can make a difference in just one life, it will have been worth it.
