Hogwarts Exposed! KCEN Goes Inside Brooks "College"

Thanks to the intrepid journalism of Brandi Sedita of KCEN News 6 (article & video link), we have our first look inside the British Behemoth just off the 8th Street exit on I-35. The comparison to Hogwarts has never been more apt. Judge for yourself, all ye doubters and turd polishers: What hath Sloan wrought?

Also, if you are interested in just how Baylor is marketing itself to college-bound high-school students, check out the following promotional video, from the official "Above. Beyond" website. A few preliminary observations: Baylor is 1) Racially Diverse (both faculty and student); 2) Very Competitive with Top Tier Colleges (both regionally and nationally); 3) Faith friendly (obviously); 4) Positive-thinking and Friendly; and 5) Groundbreaking in its Vision 2012.

  • Other than all the freshman and a few sophs and uppercalssmen forced to live in the dorms, no one else will live there. They never seem to mention you can't drink and you can't have opposite sex (gay sex is cool) visitors at all hours of the night. Even if you aren't screwing (God knows why) you still want to be able to have anyone over whenever becasue you are an adult in the eyes of Texas. Why must we persist with the Sloan vision?

  • Notice how they don't show exactly HOW spartan the rooms are on campus...ugh.

Or the fact that Shushok is a nazi. You want 50% on campus? Fire Frank and gut his office. Replace all those morons with someone with a brain.

  • Wow. Strong words. We don't know the guy, but look forward to the day when Baylor will be divided into the sheltered, righteous half (on-campus) and unsheltered heathens (off-campus). Then the great Baylor Armageddon will commence.

  • Personally, I think Frank Shushok is a great guy--and like him or not, dorms at Baylor are tons better than before he came.
