GuyMo's McGregor Mansion is for sale!

Thanks to new Baylor MBA student J-Swan, we have learned that GuyMo may have sold his house. While we can't confirm this, we can confirm that his house is on the market. His home in McGregor, Texas, is profiled and listed as for sale on this real estate website, complete with virtual tour of the 12 acres. If you look carefully at the visual tour you can confirm that it is his house, if the McLennan County Appraisal site (search: Morriss under Owner Name) doesn't prove that to you. Appraisal value: $444,000. Asking price: $1,250,000!!! Really?!? It does have an Ag tax exemption, so maybe that's why its appraised so low for its selling price.

Does he have another job lined up? Is the handwriting on the wall? Was last year the "make or break" year in his mind? Is he looking at smaller properties in the area? Is this our chance to bring in Singletary? Can someone who knows confirm/deny these allegations?

Trembling, afraid,

UPDATE: In response to an email inquiring why the current occupants of the McGregor Mansion are vacating, the realtor Camille Johnson said:

Their children are raised and they are scaling down. THy don't need all the space. They love the home!

Is this a believable explanation?

  • I think we can scoot that #15 ranking for coaches on the hotseat up to at least a top ten ranking for GuyMo.

  • Yeah, you don't sell a house like that and plan to stay in the community for the next 10 years; unless he and his wife are moving in to J-Swan's exclusive "Bandera Ranch" to relive their college years.

  • I think GuyMo is heavy into real estate, and wants to diversify a little before the McGregor housing bubble bursts.
