A Few Juicy Morsels

The Awesome 3: New Coke to BearMeat's Coca-Cola Classic

  • Mike Leach: The West Texas Confucius. Though we are a Baylor sports blog, we've often thought of converting into a Mike Leach fan blog. He's just that interesting. Thanks to the work of PB at Burnt Orange Nation and Bond J. Bond at DiscoTech!, we've stumbled upon two videos of Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach that are just pure gold. The first is an interview after Tech beat A&M at Kyle Field in which Lubbock's King Solomon reduced the conflict to two archetypes: the soldier and the pirate. The second is local news hijinks with Leach and the local weather guy. Also gold. Enjoy!

Pirate: 1, Soldier: 0

Leach: "Its raining mud!"

  • It is an honor to be considered your watered-down compatriot. I must say, however, that a more apt description is that the Triumvirate is the Dr. B to your Dr. Pepper.

  • Hah! Thank you, Mr. Best, esq. for that more accurate comparison. Loved y'all's previews, by the way. Keep 'em coming,
