Around the Quad: Teaff vs. GuyMo

1. Grant Teaff Fellowship of Christian Athletes/Southern Baptist Convention Video from 1974. Thanks to the marvels of the internets, we have this video. "You're a loser if you think you're a loser." Badass. We kind of feel sorry for all the coaches who have coached after Grant Teaff. He was the ideal Baylor coach: a strong, articulate Christian who made Baylor a national championship contender. Those are some big shoes to fill. This video is a gem from 1974 and may make you swell up with pride and shed a nostalgic tear.



2. GuyMo at #15 on the college football hotseat list. Not good news for a coach with a 4 QB crisis. Link here.

3. K-State Sports and Beyond is now "Bring on the Cats" and part of the Sports Blog Nation Empire. We wish TB well. This is an excellent KSU sports blog that we highly recommend you inform yourself on.


4. Blake Szymanski poses with Pomeranian and Cheerleader. Thanks to the Razor for pointing out that our boy Blake Szymanski posed for photos at Meet the Bears day with a little dog and cheerleader.   • One advantage for a quarterback posing with a puppy: Immediately following this photo, Szymanski was quoted as saying, "Watch out, bitch. Big Daddy Blake is taking it deep all season long."

    The crowd of course cheered wildly.
