Sepulveda: Who says a punter can't hit?

Damn. Watching this clip of walk-on linebacker-turned punter Daniel Sepulveda makes me wish he had another 4 years of eligibility. [We need good punters here at The B.] This clip is from the 2004 North Texas game. The vicious hit by the punter on the punt returner, especially so soon after Daniel's recovery from his ACL injury reminds us of what we lost, and what the Steelers have gained. We gave out an award for a hit like this back in September against Northwestern State (La).

  • This clip is from the 2004 season (well before the injury) and the opponent is North Texas. Still good stuff though.

  • I know I'm not supposed to, but I only feel remorse for losing so many of our best players.

The temptation to start buying burnt orange clothing grows by the day.

Can we get a New Hope or what?
And he shall not be called "Blake".

  • Richard:

Thanks for pointing that out. I thought it looked a little off. Plus I was relying on an intern's research, so you know its gonna have some accuracy issues.

The temptation to join the Longhornies is great, Mr. Price, but you must resist the urge. They will only seduce you in order to brainwash you. While they are more tolerant of hedonism and vice, they are nothing short of an imperial bully. Come back to the Rebellion against the Empire, Young Skywalker.

Perhaps Linebacker Joe "JoePa" Pawelek shall be our Last, Best Hope?
