BearMeat's Blake Szymanski Nickname Poll

Attention BearMeat readers:

The BearMeat Editorial Board has struggled to find an appropriate nickname for redshirt freshman QB Blake Szymanski. With only two games remaining, this is a most serious predicament. We would appreciate if you vote for either one of the following names, or propose your own suggestion. Votes can be made by leaving a comment. Factors to consider: Blake is from Wichita Falls. He is apparently an assertive, vocal leader. He is tall. He is of Eastern European descent. He can run the ball well.

So, here are BearMeat's nickname candidates:

1. The Wichita Kid.

2. The Polish Pony.*

3. [Your suggestion here.]

*If any BearMeat reader can verify or disprove that Blake is Polish, we would much appreciate it. If not, we will continue in our bigoted assumption about names ending in "-ski".

Unfortunately, his name doesn't lend itself to heroic chants, or quick play by play commentary.

All I see now are potenitally bitter fans yelling, "Simon says stop throwing f*cki*g interceptions."

  • How about "Gothar the Destroyer?"

  • Swan: Thanks for the research. Our interns/pages haven't been feeling so well since Bell's injury and now refuse to work for the Scruff's bar tab that we pay them in. So, your Polish discovery was welcomed with great relief from our editorial board.

Prof: Great suggestion, though we are partial to the somewhat more lengthy: "The Become Death; The Destroyer of Worlds." Something apocalyptical seems right for some reason.

  • "Stem cell szymanski"
he's the cure no one wants to use.

  • If we are allowed to use names requiring descriptions as anon. proposes, may I suggest:

    Blake "The Penis" Szymanski

"Terrible things will happen if he doesn't have protection"

  • does anyone remember the G.I joe characters, Tomaz and Zamot. they were twins that could actually feel if the other was hit. So Colt and Blake being evil twins, everytime Colt throws a touchdown blake throws an interception? Blake is our future, these are things we need to think about poeple.

  • Wow. Great suggestions, y'all. The Tomas/Zamot thing really hits home. Is Blake the "evil twin" or just the "ugly" twin like Devito in "Twins"? These are the questions that keep BearMeat editors tossing and turning at night.
